How I handle data on this site. Short version: I collect as little as possible and do not sell anything.

Who I Am
This is the personal website of Aidan Yagu, an independent AI music artist. The site is located at aidanyagu.com. If you have questions about this policy, you can reach me via the social links in the footer.
What Data I Collect
I collect data in two ways: through Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with your consent, and through interactive features (comments, community wall, and prompt submissions) if you choose to sign in.
Analytics data (only with consent):
Pages visited and time spent on each page
General geographic region (country or city level)
Device type, browser, and operating system
Referral source (how you found the site)
Sign-in data (only if you sign in with Google):
Your Google display name and profile picture URL, stored publicly alongside your comments, wall posts, and approved prompt submissions
Your Google user ID (a unique identifier), used to associate content with your account
The text of any comments, wall messages, or prompts you post
I do not request or store your email address. Only the profile scope is requested from Google — no contact information is collected. By signing in, you consent to your display name and avatar appearing publicly on this site. I do not sell data to any third party.
Cookies and Local Storage
This site uses a small number of cookies and browser local storage entries:
Essential: Your cookie consent preferences are stored as a cookie in your browser so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
Analytics (optional): Google Analytics 4 is loaded server-side via Cloudflare Zaraz. GA4 may set cookies to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These are only active if you consent.
Marketing (optional): Not currently active. This covers any future personalised advertising features.
Third-Party Services
The following third-party services may process data when you visit this site:
Firebase Authentication (Google) — used for sign-in across comments, the community wall, and prompt submissions. When you sign in with Google, Firebase processes your authentication request. Your display name and profile picture are then stored in this site's database (Cloudflare D1) in Germany/EU. Google operates under a Data Processing Agreement and is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
YouTube (Google) -- embedded playlist player on every page. YouTube may set its own cookies when the player is active. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
AIU.FM -- live radio stream, active only when you press play. No cookies are set by this service.
Cloudflare — this site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare Zaraz for server-side tag management and consent. Cloudflare may process request metadata for security, performance, and analytics routing. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Google Consent Mode V2
This site uses Google Consent Mode V2, managed through Cloudflare Zaraz. Google Analytics only fires tracking events after you have granted consent. If you decline analytics cookies, GA4 runs in a limited mode that does not store any identifying data.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For EU/EEA residents, the legal basis for processing sign-in data is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). By clicking "Continue with Google", you consent to your display name and avatar being stored and displayed publicly alongside your contributions. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (see below).
Data Retention
Comment data is retained until you delete your account. Analytics data is retained for 14 months (GA4 default) and then deleted automatically. You can request deletion of any data at any time.
Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights:
Delete your account and all associated data: Sign in on any comments section and use the "Delete my account" button. This immediately anonymises your comments, wall posts, and prompt submissions, and removes your profile from the database.
Access or correct your data: Contact me via the social links in the footer.
Analytics data: Any requests related to Google Analytics data should be directed to Google directly.
Lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Germany, this is the Bundesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit (BfDI) or your state's data protection authority.
Cookie Preferences
You can change your cookie consent choices at any time. Your preferences are stored in your browser and do not affect any other visitors.

This site allows users to submit AI image prompts and comments. By submitting content, you agree to the following:
License grant: You grant Aidan Yagu a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute your submitted content on this site and related channels.
Ownership: You retain ownership of your submissions. This site does not claim ownership of user-submitted content.
Your responsibility: You represent that any content you submit is your own original work or that you have the right to share it. You agree not to submit content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights.
No verification obligation: This site is operated by a single individual and does not have the means to verify the originality or legal status of every submission. If you believe content on this site infringes your rights, please contact me via the social links in the footer and I will remove it promptly.
