Alright, let's do this one more time. 😉

My name is Aidan Yagu. I'm a guy from... somewhere (don't ask). A place where I wished the Wi-Fi was better. I write hip-hop lyrics about existential dread, oligarchy, and the trials and tribulations of being born as a xennial...a witness of an analog time that saw so many rapid advancements in technology that each shock turned into just another Tuesday. I'm old enough to remember silence and young enough to have been completely ruined by the internet. I can't sing. Hell, I can't even play an instrument. For a long time that was basically the end of the story. Creative expression is sorta hard when you have two left hands and the mental focus of a Husky.

Then AI showed up and now apparently I can do all these things without having learned any of them. Fast forward 18 months of the most intense focus I've ever had learning something new… oh yeah, and a pretty gnarly philosophical crisis. I write compulsively. Therapeutically. The way you do when the alternative is just... carrying it around. Every lyric you may find on this site started as something that needed to get out. A question, a frustration, a feeling that didn't have anywhere cleaner to go. It turns out hip-hop is a very good container for all that. I never thought I'd write songs. I definitely didn't think I could make a decent music video. Apparently I was wrong about both.... Happens.

The voice is synthetic. The instruments too for that matter... Let's just say that upfront so nobody feels tricked.

My delivery, the cadence, the thing that sounds like it actually knows what it's doing... all that came from a process. Months of iteration on the words I've written, prompting, rebuilding, arguing with an artificial logic at two in the morning, feeding the system everything in detail and the necessary context until it understood not just my words but the specific weight behind them. So no, It is not just a button that gets pressed by me. It's a million buttons I turned into a craft! And yes, even this takes effort....there is different friction connected to this process than traditional production, but friction all the same.

The AI has the voice. That is all it was ever asked to provide. The ideas, the grief, the humor, the intrusive thoughts... everything you feel and understand about my music. All that's me. Painfully, specifically, embarrassingly human.
